Kids flee car, report mom for ‘drunk driving’

Their culture; A Florida mom was reported for drunk driving by her own son and three of his friends — and now she faces child neglect and drug charges, authorities said.
Angela R. Woodworth, 45, was so wasted behind the wheel that the four 11-year-old children she was riding with jumped out of the car and ran to call police because they feared for their lives, News 4 Jacksonville reports.
The Gainesville resident was arrested Tuesday and charged with four felony counts of marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, child neglect and resisting an officer without violence after cops discovered 2 grams of marijuana in the vehicle and a pipe under the driver’s seat, police said.
“We really didn’t see what was going on,” said Kenisha Drayton, who was at the Steak ‘n Shake where the incident unfolded. “All we heard was someone screaming.”
Woodworth’s son and his friends — a boy and two girls — entered the fast food joint in fear for their lives because of how crazy the inebriated mom was driving, according to police.
“One of the boys told me his mom, they just left Ruby Tuesday, and his mom was really drunk and swerving all over the road,” said diner Josh Kramer. “She hit a pole and broke a mirror off her car. They came to a stop. When they came to a stop, the kids jumped out of the car and ran into the restaurant.”
As Kramer called 911, Woodworth showed up and tried to get the kids to come with her, according to News 4.
“The kids took off running around the restaurant. She started following them around the restaurant,” Kramer added. “I finally got them back up front and told them to stay on the sidewalk, police would be here in a second and they didn’t need to be scared. I was helping them out.”
When an officer arrived at the restaurant, the children sprinted to him for safety, police said.
“They were not in a parking space, so we could only assume that her driving was so bad at that point that she couldn’t even make it into the parking space,” GPD Officer Ben Tobias told News 4. “We are very glad that the children were not hurt.”
The kids told cops they spent the day at several locations, including a bowling alley where Woodworth drank two pitchers of beer and a Ruby Tuesday where she downed four drinks. The purchases were confirmed with receipts, according to police.
The children also said they had been roaming the mall unsupervised while Woodworth was at Ruby Tuesday getting bombed, News 4 reports.
“Hopefully she gets the help that she needs and the punishment that she deserves to put somebody’s kids and her own kids behind that kind of dangerous situation right there,” said Travis Smith, who also saw the incident. “I’ll pray for her.”

  1. It’s shameful for a mom to get reported by her own son. Being a mother she shouldn’t be driving drunk; and now that she is facing DUI and child neglect charges, she is in grave need of a lawyer. Most lawyers offer a free consultation in their office. My brother is an intern with a DUI attorney Los Angeles. Let me know if you need any help.

VIDEO AND PICTURES: BOWEN UNIVERSITY HOSTEL BURNT

A room (precisely Luke Hostel room 47) got burnt in the early hours of Thursday March 27 2015. Most of the room's occupants' luggage were burnt, including books, clothes, boxes and several valuable items. Some people are speculating that the fire was caused by a boiling ring left on by one of the students while others are saying that it was caused by an unplugged iron. Thankfully no lives were lost and nobody was wounded.                     Minutes after the fire was doused, the Dean of Student affairs, MRS. Sangoyomi was seen in the hostel examining the room. The fate of the room's occupants are not yet known but we hope they don't get into much trouble. Come back for updates on this post and more info.PICTURES BELOW

The genetic and scientific view of the EBOLA VIRUS

Virology The EBOV genome is approximately 19 kb in length. It encodes seven structural proteins: nucleoprotein (NP), polymerase cofactor (VP35), (VP40), GP, transcription activator (VP30), VP24, and RNA polymerase (L).[3] Structure[edit] Electron micrographs of EBOV show them to have the characteristic threadlike structure of a filovirus.[4] EBOV VP30 is around 288 amino acids long.[5] The virions are tubular in general form but variable in overall shape and may appear as the classic shepherd's crook or eyebolt, as a U or a 6, or coiled, circular, or branched; laboratory techniques, such as centrifugation, may be the origin of some of these formations.[6] Virions are generally 80 nm in diameter with a lipid bilayer anchoring the glycoprotein which projects 7 to 10 nm long spikes from its surface.[7] They are of variable length, typically around 800 nm, but may be up to 1000 nm long. In the center of the virion is a structure called nucleocapsid, which is formed by the helically wou...

U.S. Missionary who contacted Ebola virus flown out of Liberia.

A second U.S. missionary who contracted Ebola in Liberia has arrived back in the United States. Nancy Writebol traveled on a specially outfitted plane that landed in the southeastern city of Atlanta on Tuesday. She will be treated at Emory University Hospital, alongside an American doctor who also contracted the deadly virus while treating patients in Liberia. Both received a dose of an experimental serum before leaving Liberia. On Monday, officials at a New York City hospital said a man suffering from a high fever and gastrointestinal problems arrived at the emergency room and was quickly isolated. They say the patient recently traveled to a West African country where Ebola has been reported, and is now undergoing tests to determine the cause of his illness. No other details about the man were given. Authorities in Nigeria Monday reported the country's second confirmed case of Ebola -- a doctor who treated the first patient who died July 25 in Lagos. Eight others are being monitor...
