10 Lost Worlds, and Facts about them

1. Egyptian Treasures in the Grand Canyon The April 5, 1909 edition of the  Arizona Gazette  featured an article entitled "Explorations in Grand Canyon: Remarkable finds indicate ancient people migrated from Orient." According to the article, the expedition was financed by the Smithsonian Institute and discovered artifacts that would, if verified, stand conventional history on its ear. Inside a cavern "hewn in solid rock by human hands" were found tablets bearing hieroglyphics, copper weapons, statues of Egyptian deities and mummies. Although highly intriguing, the truth of this story is in doubt simply because the site has never been re-found. The Smithsonian disavows all knowledge of the discovery, and several expeditions searching for the cavern have come up empty-handed. Was the article just a hoax? "While it cannot be discounted that the entire story is an elaborate newspaper hoax," writes researcher/explorer David Hatcher Childress, "the fa...

Attention; Bowen University Students

Students of Bowen University, please stop all the demeaning behaviours you do outside of Bowen, its not doing good for the school, its reputation and other students who don't engage in these acts.           Can you imagine? This morning, I was in Sterling Bank this morning and the cleaner was complaining in the hall that a Bowen Student used the toilet and blocked it with plastics and paper and the student did not even flush! imagine. Come and see how those bankers were abusing Bowen students. I just feel that this is highly inappropriate and we should please try to change.    For God's sake, it's not good. It's not everyone of us that is bad .

Reminisce’s Third Studio Album: Baba Hafusa?

Indigenous language rapper, Reminisce is gearing up for the release of his 3rd studio album and has adopted a rather strange title ‘Baba Hafusa’ for the album. The rapper, whose real name is Remilekun Khalid Safaru, announced the strange title for the forthcoming album via twitter, saying the album will drop in February 2015. According to the rapper, ‘Baba Hafusa’ is in part a way of paying tribute to his first daughter, who is named Hafusa. Baba Hafusa, is simply translated as ‘Hafusa’s father’ in English, and the rapper widely known as Alaga Ibile, has chosen that title for the simple fact that people started regarding him as a father since the birth of his first daughter. The rapper, who is a proud father of two daughters with his baby mama, is widely known by friends, associates and in his hood as Baba Hafusa. His first daughter, Hafusa Safaru is a 4 year-old while his second daughter, Fatimah Safaru is less than a year old.

Nicki Minaj talks about her hyper- sexual single and music video for “Anaconda”

She says “Anaconda” “is just talking about two guys that she dated in the past and what they’re good at and what they bought her and what they said to her. It’s just cheeky, like a funny story.” She said the single artwork was sort of an after-thought, something they shot on the day of the video shoot. “I just said I’ll put it out, never thought in a billion years that people would be putting [other] people’s heads on it. It’s the craziest shit,” Nicki said. She also spoke on the music video itself, avoiding talk about her ass and any implied sexualness within the video- “I think the video is about what girls do,” Nicki said. “Girls love being with other girls, and when you go back to us being younger, we would have slumber parties and we’d be dancing with our friends.” Why is she fake-working out? “I knew that I wanted a gym theme. And that’s that.” She added, “I don’t know what there is to really talk about,” she says. “I’m being serious. I just see the ...

Rihanna’s Instagram Account Reinstated (RESTORED)

After being banned from the social media platform earlier this year, Rihanna (@ badgalriri) is back on Instagram. You may want to have your phone ready for this one… because Rihanna’s back on Instagram. The R&B singer had her account banned earlier this year after she shared a topless picture from her Lui Magazine cover shoot (in case you didn’t know, IG has a strict no-nudity policy), but now, the “BadGalRiRi” account name has been reinstated. This news came last night, when Rih posted a blurry, upside down selfie with the caption “Hellurrr #badgalback.” It was her first post since May 3rd. A cute drawing depicting her “RIHUnion” with Instagram was soon to follow. Check out both posts below, and pray that IG isn’t too strict on the frequently-scantily-clad star this time around. After my song, Mercy of the Lord, with Dagrin, I tried my best to bring out a better song but I was unlucky to get any. 16 Most Powerful Militaries In Africa

Print When it comes to the military strength of all African countries, the keywords to consider are “not enough information.” The Global Fire Power ranking, or GFP, measures countries’ military strength and assigns a power index number in order to compare them to other countries. Many factors are taken into consideration, and smaller countries can compete with larger ones due to points given for refinement and technological advancement. Based on available information, the following countries represent the most powerful militaries in Africa as of Aug. 4 2014, according to GlobalFirepower.com. Numbers reflect each country’s power index, derived from a unique algorithm developed by GFP. A perfect score is a 0.0000. The lower the number, the stronger the military, and bonuses and penalties are added to country scores as needed. commons.wikimedia.org 16.
